Disabled people protest outside PM’s house against Salman Khurshid

According to latest news, around 40 disabled people protested outside the house of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday.

All the people were demanding the resignation of Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid over financial impropriety in the running of his trust for differently-abled people.

It is further said in reports that all the protesters belonged to Rashtriya Viklang Party (RVP) and reached the Prime Minister’s house at 7, Race Course Road and started raising slogans.

Talking to media, a police official said, “The police immediately rushed to the spot and took them to different police stations.”

Further, RVP president KK Dikshit said, “Khurshid and his wife spend money which was meant to purchase equipment for differently-abled people in Uttar Pradesh. Our demand is for the resignation of Khurshid from the cabinet and his immediate arrest.”

Police later took the protesters to Tughlaq Raod and Chanakyapuri police stations.

Police officer said, “Action may be taken against the protesters.”

Meanwhile, the India Against Corruption [IAC] had alleged financial impropriety against Salman Khurshid in the running of his Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust.
