Safari Privacy Breach:Google faces FTC’s $22.5 m fine

The internet search giant, Google fined $22.5millions for breaching the iPhone and iPad users’ privacy while Sadari cookies setting on the devices.

It is for the second time that Google has come under such controversy for a civil violation, hitting out with the ever largest fine in favour of US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over privacy breach issue and Google has also settled the matter as a part of a breaching settlement hold three months ago .

Facebook to undergo privacy checks for 20 years

According to latest news, the most used social networking site, Facebook will now undergo to 20-years of regular privacy checkup including other penalties, as announced by the Federal Trade Commission [FTC] in its finalized statement.

As per the FTC decision, Facebook must achieve permission before sharing a user’s information with advertising groups, which is quite different from its present privacy settings. The FTC also bars Facebook from misrepresenting its privacy and security practices again.

Further, the Wall Street Journal added that the fine of $22.5 million is the largest so far levied on a single company by the US Federal Trade Commission.
