ICC World Twenty20: Australia to face West Indies today

The Australian cricket team today faces West Indies in the 2nd semi-finals match of ICC World Twenty20 played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Both the teams are going strong so far in the championship. Australia have a golden chance to enter into finals after 2010, while West Indies have a fair chances to enter into finals.

The ‘Chris Gayle factor’ will be the key for both Australia as well as West Indies.

ICC World Twenty20: Sri Lanka beats Pakistan by 16 runs

It was a super high voltage match yesterday between Sri Lanka and Pakistan played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Sri Lanka played superb cricket and Pakistan is now out of the ICC World Twenty20 championship. Earlier, Sri Lankan captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Sri Lanka made 139 runs in 20 overs.

Captain Mahela Jayawardene was the top scorer with 42 runs from 36 balls with seven fours. Dilshan played 35 runs with three fours.

ICC World Twenty20: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Fight for Finals

The former champions of the ICC World Twenty20 trophy, Paksitan will today take on Sri Lanka in the first semi-final match plated at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

However, Pakistan beats Sri Lanka in last World Twenty20 finals. The match will start 6:30 pm today, and will be live on Star Cricket.

Pakistan is the much stronger team now, and their moral is also very high after they registered 32 runs win over Australia. However, Sri Lanka has advantage of home ground but that hardly makes a difference.

Three British girls arrested from Chris Gayle’s room

Twenty20 matches are always under controversy, first IPL twenty20 matches and now ICC World Twenty20. Fresh reports have said that the Sri Lankan police had arrested three British girls who were partying in West Indies’ star batsman Chris Gayle’s room early in the morning.

The West Indies Twenty20 team is staying at the luxury Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

ICC World Twenty20: India beats South Africa, but fails to reach semis

The Indian cricket team was short of luck, that’s all we can say, India won the thriller match against South Africa but it is unfortunate that they are no more in the ICC World Twenty20 race.

India beats England and Pakistan and yesterday beats South Africa by one run, but that was not enough as Pakistan recorded a big win over Australia in the first half of the day.

Earlier, South Africa captain won the toss and elected to field first, India managed 152 runs in 20-overs. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni 45 and 23 runs respectively.

Tonight is a very tough match for Indians, they have to beat South Africa with a big margin, only then they can make their way into semi-finals.

ICC World Twenty20: India beats Pakistan by 8 wickets

Once again, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh helped India to record an 8-wickets win over arch-rivals Pakistan in the Super Eights match of ICC World Twenty20 match played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

India easily chases the target of 129 runs in the 17th over of the match with Virat Kohli batting at unbeaten 78 runs and Yuvraj Singh 19 runs.

Earlier, Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeez won the toss and elected to bat first. But, his decision didn’t worked, as Pakistan managed just 128 runs.
