Anna Hazare will not go for State Poll Campaign: Kiran Bedi

A fresh report has released by a core member of Team Anna, Kiran Bedi that the social activist Anna Hazare won’t be campaigning in five poll-bound states due to his ill health.

However Anna had planned earlier to travel in five poll-bound states, but after recovered in a hospital he has been advised rest by doctors.

Talking to reporters, Kiran said, “Anna needs complete rest. Doctors have advised him not to travel. My opinion is also that Anna should be taking rest. So he won’t be travelling or campaigning.”

She added, “The 74-year-old activist was recovering and his condition was stable.”

Coimbatore Medical College Hospital 300x191 Doctors on Strike at CMCHAnother strike goes on in Chennai inside the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) premises from Wednesday.

There are more than 500 medical practitioners at the 43 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the district worked wearing black badges, the house surgeons and post graduate students are also included in it, demanding protection of medicos while they are on duty.

Because of all medicos off from their duties, the Patients has left unattended in out-patient wards, planned surgeries has postponed and only emergency cases are attended.

Pakistan: Taliban kills 15 Kidnapped soldiers

Near the Afghan border on Thursday, The Pakistani Taliban has killed 15 kidnapped troops in revenge for military operations against them, vowing further such attacks.

A Taliban spokesman reported that the Pakistani forces have targeted the northwestern Khyber tribal region’s militants for more than 4 years.

In a statement, Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesman for the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), said, “This is revenge for the killing of our comrades in Khyber by Pakistani forces,”

“We will soon take revenge for other operations too,” he added.

In the Thal area of the northwestern Hangu district, near the porous border with Afghanistan, 15 bodies were founded with signs of torture and gunshot wounds.

BJP urges President to reconvene parliament for Lokpal Bill

On Thursday, the matter of adjourning the Rajya Sabha on December 29 midnight without any defended result is turn into another mode when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asked President Pratibha Patil to reconvene the winter session of Parliament for a vote on the Lokpal bill.

After party leaders, including president Nitin Gadkari and star LK Advani, met Patil to complain about what they said was “subversion of parliament” over the pending legislation, BJP leader Ananth Kumar told, “We urged (the president) to reconvene the winter session for the passage of the Lokpal bill before the budget session.”

In his statement, Rajya Sabha leader of opposition Arun Jaitley told reporters, “They complained that there has been a subversion of parliament institution.”

UPA govt. has not required majority in Rajya Sabha that is the reason they support resorting to “contrived disturbances” to adjourn parliament to avoid voting on the anti-graft Lokpal bill.
