Bal Thackeray had a special place in Maharashtra politics, says Nitish Kumar

The Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has paid tribute to late Shiv Sena Supermo Bal Thackeray, who died in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon after a prolonged illness.

Talking to media, Nitish Kumar in a condolence message said, “A political era in Maharashtra politics has come to an end after the passing away of the Octogenarian Shiv Sena leader.”

Further, the Bihar Chief Minsiter added that the Shiv Sena Supermo always had a special place in the Maharashtra politics.

On the other hand, the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi also paid their tribute to Shiv Sena Supermo.

In addition, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, the state unit BJP president CP Thakur and other party leaders have also mourned Bal Thackeray’s demise.

In the meantime, the 86-year-old Bal Thackeray was suffering from lungs and pancreatic ailments and had been put on life-support system for the last couple of days. Bal Thackeray was the founder of the Shiv Sena party established in 1966 to fight for the rights of Maharashtrians.

Announcing the death of Shiv Sena Supermo Bal Thackeray outside Thackeray residence ‘Matoshree’, the doctor said that Balasaheb breathed his last at 3.30 pm on Saturday.
