Earlier, the Indian captain MS Dhoni has won the toss and elected to bat first, but his decision soon turned out to be wrong. India lost its opener Gautam Gambhir on the third ball of the innings.

No Indian batsman looked comfortable at the center. The great wall of India cricket team, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman failed to spend much time at the crease, the two batsman scored 5 and 2 respectively.

Big hitter Virender Sehwag scored 30 runs with the help of 4 fours from 51 balls. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar also failed to keep going, as he was out on 41 individual score.

From the Australian side, bowler James Pattinson took four wickets for 43 runs, which included the prized wicket of Sachin Tendulkar (41) who now will have to wait for India’s second innings for his 100th international ton.

The tailender from the Indian team failed to impress their captain and the Indian team was bowled out at 191 runs on the board.

The home team has now come to bat in their first innings. Though, not a good start from them as well. Australia team also lost two wickets with just 21 runs on the board.

Medium fast bowler Zaheer Khan took the two wickets of Australia.
