In dealt a controversial matter, the murder case of Shehla Masood turned into a new fact that the main accused Zahida Pervez who was in custody along her assistant Saba Farooqi rejected CBI’s way of investigation by undergo a polygraph test on Monday.
The apex of court allows CBI to conduct the lie detection test after earlier Pervez and her assistant had given their consent to tests which were held on Monday.
Three accused persons in connection with the case had arrested including city-based interior designer Zahida Pervez, her assistant Saba Farooqi and Shakib Ali ‘Danger’, an alleged history-sheeter.
As per CBI probe, Zahida who was jealous of Masood’s alleged closeness with MLA Singh had given the contract for eliminating Shehla to Shakib Danger.
All allegations has made on basis of nine lakh calls in Masood’s phone and the alleged shooter, Irfaan, arrested by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police at Kanpur for another case.
CBI is acting very secretly and accurately and the court also supports them by allowing them to interrogate Irfaan in Bhopal, though CBI was also looking out for another shooter involved in the crime.
The chances of BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh to undergo the lie detection test on Monday are also likely to be high as CBI said not to given a clean chit to him in this case.
Suspension murder of Shehla Masood seems to be a “crime of passion” and whether it is a part of any larger conspiracy is still a matter of investigation.
CBI officials have said, “Investigations so far indicate the RTI activist’s murder appears to be a crime of passion. Whether or not the murder was part of a larger conspiracy is a matter of further probe.”
