The biggest opposition party, BJP has sanctioned an amendment at its national council on Friday to the party’s constitution to allow Nitin Gadkari as its President for the second consecutive time.
The amendment to Section 21 of BJP’s constitution state that any eligible member of the party can hold the President post for two times.
At the same time, the former BJP chief Venkaiah Naidu added that this doesn’t mean that the term of any president exceeds automatically for a second term. Mr. Naidu had moved the amendment.
