From last 11 years, the clemency plea of Rajiv Gandhi killers had been delaying or in waiting of decision made by the President.
Now, the Supreme Court decided to transfer itself the petitions filed by three killers, Santhan, Murugan and Perarivalan – against their death penalty from the Madras high court.
A bench of Justice G.S. Singhvi delivered order to adjudicate Supreme Court for directing the clemency plea filled by them against their death, with the Madras High Court on lawyer K.L. BSNL-Wimax deal: Fresh raids by CBI in Tamil Nadu
Continuing raids in nine states including Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Ambala over the telecom scandal, the Central Bureau Intelligence has charged a fresh case BSNL and Starnet Communications, allegedly beneficiary which got franchise, on allegations of making discrepancies in a Wimax deal.
As per CBI report, teams of CBI officials allowed to go for search the residences of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) officials and the officials of Starnet in different nine locations across Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Gurgaon.
The senior executives of BSNL were signed agreement over the Wimax deal with Starnet Communications although they did not fulfill eligibility criteria. On Thursday, South Chennai housing colony was going to be dark in early morning while Police encountered five bank robbers who had struck twice within a month.
As per source said, four robbers as Vinod Kumar, Chandrika Ray, Harish Kumar, Vinay Prasad were identified from Bihar and another one Abhay Kumar was from West Bengal

DVAC raids former DMK leader Raja’s home
Under the disproportionate premises case, the former DMK minister N K K P Raja’s residence and business premises has raided today morning.
The raid has been conducted by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption officials at several places in Erode and Chennai.
As like Raja who was the handlooms minister in the erstwhile DMK government, many DMK leaders and former Ministers besides MLAS’s residents were also raided by police and DVAC and they were alleged over land grab charges or disproportionate to known sources of income or assets.

Today the death rate of cyclone thane is going to be 35. Yesterday, the wind of cyclone thane were passing in a speed of 140km per hour, pummelled the Tamil Nadu coast and the Union territory of Puducherry.
In Puducherry, there would be heavy rain fall all along the coast and the strong winds affect to landfall between Puducherry and Cuddalore district in the state.
However major damage had been made in the villages, huts and small houses collapsed like a pack of cards, roads transport were fully damaged and uprooted trees and electric posts straw across streets and pavements.
