Once again Sehwag created history in the cricket by scoring the highest ever individual scores in ODIs. Earlier, Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar holds this record, he scored 200 runs against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010.

Indian scored 418 runs in their 50 over play with the loss of 3 wickets. Opener Gautam Gambhir also played superbly today and got his first half century of the series. He got run out on an individual score of 67 runs.

Thereafter, Suresh Raina came to bat with Sehwag, he also got his fifty and he was also runs out on 55 runs made from 44 balls with the help of 6 fours.

However, Sehwag faces just 140 balls to complete his 200 runs.

Salman Khan gets Audi Q7 for Bodyguard’s success

According to fresh reports, the well-known German car producer Audi, acknowledging the box office success of Bollywood film Bodyguard, has gifted an Audi Q7 SUV to the bad boy of Bollywood, actor Salman Khan in Mumbai.

While talking to media, during the event, Salman Khan said, “I am happy and I thank and appreciate them (Audi) for giving me this car. It is a beautiful car. We have used this car in the film and now they have given it to me in real life also….wish in every film we get a car so we don’t have to spend money on cars.”

The Bollywood Dabangg was talking to media after he was handed over the sleek white SUV by Audi (India) Head Michael Perschke at a function held at hotel Taj Land End.

The new SUV was widely used by Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the film that emerged as one of the highest grossers of Bollywood in 2011.

Highlighting to some of the accidents involving his cars in the past, Salman Khan quipped, “Mere gaadi ke experience woh wale bahut rahe hai”.

Bipasha Basu won’t do an item number with Vivek Oberoi

It is known to all that ‘Beedi Jalaile’ song in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film Omkara was like a big boost for Bipasha Basu career in the Bollywood. Though, there are saying that the actress is not in mood to recreate the item number, especially with her Omkara co-star Vivek Oberoi.

Reports have said that Bips have refused to do an item number with Vivek in his upcoming film Zilla Gaziabad, something which completely surprises Vivek Oberoi.

Talking to media, a close source said, “Bipasha was approached to do an item number with Vivek and Sanjay Dutt in Zilla Ghaziabad, but she refused. Vivek was wondering what happened, but did not bother to investigate further.”

Further, sources say, “Bips was in the running to play the lead role opposite the actor in his next.”

“Vivek thought, if she doesn’t even want to be seen opposite him in an item number, how she is ever going to be able to work with him on an entire film. Hence the producers felt it would be better to let her go,” sources say.

Entertainingly, the two actors from Bollywood, Vivek and Bipasha earlier worked on the same project when they were newcomers, in an ad that neither wants to mention anymore. The very controversial New York Lotto TV commercial starring the two leaked online last year.

Mamata Banerjee: we will hire private doctors if needed

Mamata Banerjee has been taken up a strict action against the state’s senior health officials.

She wanted to settle up the best the healthcare facility in the state, and for this she said in her statement by giving warning that the state won’t deter from recruiting doctors from outside if those in the state refuse to work in districts.

However, the West Bengal Chief Minster Banerjee put a major condition for serving doctors to appear in the MD/MS entrance test and one would be selected who will get weightage if he has served in remote districts.

She warned that if any one who fail to join before 11 December, would be struck out whether he has appointment letter or not.

While, the state govt. called back the 81 teacher of the state medical colleges who had been transferred.

2G scam: Will Union Home Minister Chidambaram be probed?

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy who had already alleged that Union home minister P Chidambaram and former Telecom Minister A Raja acted together in fixing 2G, has demanded to the Delhi trial court for CBI investigate on Chidambaram’s role in the 2G scam.

Today the court will declare its order on petition filed by Swamy in scam.

However, CBI officials and then finance ministry officials had been accepted and ready to be examined to prove Swamy’s case.

To pin point P.Chidambaram , Swamy said that Chidambaram, as the then finance minister, had permitted Swan Telecom and Unitech, who had secured the 2G licenses for low prices, to sell their shares to foreign companies.

High Court notice to Center Govt, TRAI on SMS limits

In a recent news, the union government has been questioned today by the Delhi High Court to verify its position on a request challenging a statutory regulation limiting the number of short messages ( SMs) sent through a SIM a day to a maximum of 200.

According to news release, a bench of Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw issued notices to the Ministry of Telecommunication and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) looking for their verifications to the request seeking the quashing of the curbs on sending more than 200 SMSs per SIM in a day.

In addition to this, the bench was adjourned and expecting their replies within two weeks, and thus the matter for next hearing on January 18.
