Mamata Banerjee has been taken up a strict action against the state’s senior health officials.
She wanted to settle up the best the healthcare facility in the state, and for this she said in her statement by giving warning that the state won’t deter from recruiting doctors from outside if those in the state refuse to work in districts.
However, the West Bengal Chief Minster Banerjee put a major condition for serving doctors to appear in the MD/MS entrance test and one would be selected who will get weightage if he has served in remote districts.
She warned that if any one who fail to join before 11 December, would be struck out whether he has appointment letter or not.
While, the state govt. called back the 81 teacher of the state medical colleges who had been transferred.
The decision regarding the appointment around 450 specialists had been taken and 28 had been asked to join immediately.
Although Mamata herself checked out data regarding the stock of the attendance and performance in hospitals and strictly said that govt. won’t hesitate to leave out the lazy staff who did know its responsibility and duty.
There was some problem regarding the shortage of stock of beds in departments such as eye or skin.
For solution of that problem she decided that the authorities to put display boards near the emergency section in a bid to make the bed occupancy status transparent.
