NCTC will come live from March 1, 2012

Before three weeks, a pet project of Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, NCTC – National Counter Terrorism Centre got the approval from the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). And now NCTC will be going to operationalise from March 1.

The country’s specialized anti-terror body will have a Standing Council comprising chiefs of counter-terrorism body. It will have additional power to select ‘elite’ force like NSG for arresting and carry out searches against terrorists under Section 43 (A) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

The NCTC Body which will locate in the Intelligence Bureau will be headed by directors who will be a part of the Standing Council. NCTC will have three parts of units that will be directed by a joint director of Intelligence Bureau. These are collection and dissemination of intelligence; analysis and carry out operations. Special CBI judge OP Saini delivered his judgment after 1 this afternoon to a packed court-room and has ruled that all the allegations filed against P Chidambaram as tried for criminal culpability in the telecom scam have been rejected.

Announcing his judgment, Judge OP Saini said, “Prayer of Swamy to make Chidambaram an accused is dismissed”.

Reacting on the rejecting of a petition filed against Chidambaram to be made a co-accused in the telecom scam, which was allegedly fathered by A Raja during his infamous term as Telecom Minister, Mr Swamy said that he was surprised by the order and that he announced in his statement that he would approached to High Court within three months against Special CBI Judge OP Saini’s order in the 2G scam.Swamy said, “I am surprised because my evidence against Chidambaram was complete.” Read More

2G Scam: SC Judge to hear Chidambaram matter at 12:15pm

On the basis of plea filled by Janata Party Chief Subramanian Swamy, the Supreme Court had cancelled all the 122 telecom licenses on Friday that allocated by former communications minister A Raja to eight telecom companies.

And the Court left the issue whether “Chidambaram should be made co-accused or not” to the trial court of Special CBI in Delhi to decide on Swamy’s plea.

If CBI was under Lokpal Bill, P Chidambaram would be in jail, says Anna Hazare

In a fight against corruption in the country, Anna Hazare is the only name that hit every person’s mind. The Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare has recently criticized the central government’s steps to ensure the Lokpal Bill did not have control over the CBI, saying the government was “cheating” people to protect “corrupt” ministers.

Talking to media, Anna Hazare said, “If CBI was under Lokpal, P Chidambaram would have been in jail today. If the CBI is kept out, how will the Lokpal be strong? This is a very weak bill. You (government) are protecting corrupt ministers and saying it is a strong Lokpal Bill.”

Meanwhile, Anna Hazare was talking to media at Ralegan Siddhi a day after the Lokpal Bill was approved by the Cabinet.

After BJP and Opposition demand for the resignation of Home Minister P Chidambaram for fixing of 2G scam, now their gunning point is on Foreign Minister S M Krishna.

They are claiming that External Affairs Minister, SM Krishna has definite role in an illegal mining case in Karnataka. Both BJP and Opposing party are demanding to rescue of SM Krishna from the Parliament.

However because of disruptions over resignation issue both the Houses of Parliament forcing their adjournment till Monday.

Fake Gossips about Chidambaram stall Parliament

Janata Party chief Subramaniam Swamy who had claimed that P Chidambaram and A Raja both were in fixing 2 G scam, is now in behalf of opposition party, demanding to rescue the Union Home Minister, P.Chidambaram, from both houses of Parliament.

However on the Swamy’s petition, the CBI handed over the all documents to him that it got related to P. Chitambaram. And CBI court allowed Swamy to recall himself as a witness to prove Chidambaram’s alleged in the 2G spectrum allocation in 2007-08.

While asking Law Minister Salman Khurshid about it, he ignoring Swamy’s plea, said the court had not passed any order against Chidambaram and that it was a procedural step to allow Swamy a right to be heard on his complaint.

2G scam: Will Union Home Minister Chidambaram be probed?

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy who had already alleged that Union home minister P Chidambaram and former Telecom Minister A Raja acted together in fixing 2G, has demanded to the Delhi trial court for CBI investigate on Chidambaram’s role in the 2G scam.

Today the court will declare its order on petition filed by Swamy in scam.

However, CBI officials and then finance ministry officials had been accepted and ready to be examined to prove Swamy’s case.

To pin point P.Chidambaram , Swamy said that Chidambaram, as the then finance minister, had permitted Swan Telecom and Unitech, who had secured the 2G licenses for low prices, to sell their shares to foreign companies.
