Dhanlaxmi Bank MD Amitabh Chaturvedi quits his post

The MD of the Thrissur, Kerala-based Dhanlaxmi Bank, Amitabh Chaturvedi has decided to quit from his post.

Along with him, other five member of bank may have seemed to resign whose name are Bipin Kabra, chief financial officer, Rajeev Deoras, head of credit, Manish Kumar, chief people officer, and Salil Datar, head of consumer banking.

As per source report, the decision to leave out from the firm is pressurized by the officers’ union that has claimed on bank to have some financial irregularities.

But the bank and RBI also clarified the allegations were wrong and in the bank’s books no irregularities were identified.

Baby Falak Case: This is a case of Human Trafficking, says Home Ministry

As per fresh updates in the Baby Falak case, the Union home ministry of the country has announced in a press release that this is a case of human trafficking.

The report was released by the ministry after the report submitted by Delhi police.

Earlier, Baby Falak’s case came into light in the month of January this year after the 2-year-old girl child was admitted to AIIMS by a teenaged girl, who is also a victim of sex racket in the national capital.

Soon after the baby falak’s admission to the hospital, AIIMS doctors conducted a life saving operations oh her brain as well as other important test while two were undertakes at a later date.

Actor Riteish-Genelia is perfect example of professionalism

After their grand marriage ceremony in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and his bride Genelia was reported to skip their honeymoon and the newly married couple left to Vizag, Kerala, instead, to be a part of the Celebrity Cricket League tournament on Sunday.

With actress Genelia D’Souza cheering from the sidelines, while actor Riteish was seen in full form and took two wickets in the game.

His team Mumbai Heroes eventually won the match.

NCTC will come live from March 1, 2012

Before three weeks, a pet project of Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, NCTC – National Counter Terrorism Centre got the approval from the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). And now NCTC will be going to operationalise from March 1.

The country’s specialized anti-terror body will have a Standing Council comprising chiefs of counter-terrorism body. It will have additional power to select ‘elite’ force like NSG for arresting and carry out searches against terrorists under Section 43 (A) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

The NCTC Body which will locate in the Intelligence Bureau will be headed by directors who will be a part of the Standing Council. NCTC will have three parts of units that will be directed by a joint director of Intelligence Bureau. These are collection and dissemination of intelligence; analysis and carry out operations.

Drug trails should follow proper procedures: Ghulam Nabi Azad

Monday, court has issued a notice to the Union Government on a plea of the NGO, Swasthya Adhikar Manch, seeking investigation of “illegal and unethical” clinical trials of drugs and directed pharmaceutical companies and hospitals to conduct these trials by getting approval of the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).

“There are certain procedures for clinical trial and the apex body needs to be 100% sure that all these procedures are followed step-by-step. Even the drug controller general of India sees to it that the procedure is followed properly,” Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said.

The multinational medical companies are not conduct trials as per procedures and this cause of putting dangerous impact on the life of people on whom the tests are being carried out.
