Anna team has been faced another hurdle and going one step ahead while cabinet cleared judicial accountability bill, citizen’s charter bill and whistleblower’s bill to present a comprehensive anti-corruption framework to Parliament on Tuesday.

However draft food security bill has delayed till next week.

Apart this, the Congress leaders also agree for bringing the lower bureaucracy (Group C employees) and the anti-corruption wing of the CBI within the lokpal’s ambit. Although these were major demands of Anna Hazare and opposition parties.

Beside all this there is a clear statement given by a senior government official by pointed out that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was always keen to be made accountable to the lokpal but his cabinet colleagues differed.

Talking with Media, a senior minister said, “The issue of the PM was kept as a final bargaining point since we all along knew that the opposition would insist on this.”
