According to the latest news from Mumbai, West Indies captain has won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the third and final test match from the Wankhede stadium.

India has already won the three test match series and they will now be eyeing a whitewash against the West Indies. All eyes will be on the two pillars of Indian cricket. Rahul Dravid is just 21 runs away from 13000 Test runswhile the whole nation awaits Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th international ton.

The West Indies player Shiv Chanders not playing in today’s test match. The calf strain has kept Shiv out. Kieran Powell plays in his place. West Indies could do without this.

Talking to media after losing the toss, Indian captain MS Dhoni says it is not too bad a toss to lose, and that the Wankhede wicket does something all five days.

As expected, Virat Kohli is playing. And Varun Aaron has got himself a debut here. In place of Umesh Yadav. Dhoni is quick and relieved to point out that it’s not an injury that has kept Yadav out. Fair enough. They want to see Aaron before the selection for Australia, but personally I would have rested Ishant Sharma. Aaron comes from the same state as Dhoni – Jharkhand. Today we get to properly watch him. “Is Varun Aaron the first player to make both his ODI and Test debut in the same stadium against different teams ?”
