Congress gains in Haryana with Ratia win

For the past 28 years Congress was waiting to stand in the Haryana by winning voting polls.

And the day has been come, on Sunday when the polling result brought out, the Haryana Congress and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda won by 12000 more votes than his opposite candidate Sarfi Bai Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) at Ratia (SC) assembly constituency in Fatehabad district.

However, Renuka Bishnoi who is the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) nominee won Adampur election, where voters came-up with their full support and loyalty for the Bhajan Lal clan.

According to polling records, the victory has been made by with a margin of 22,669 votes beating her nearest rival and former MLA Kulbir Singh Beniwal of Congress in Adampur.

Although win in Haryana came as a huge relief to chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda who was experiencing a big challenge with marks of Om Prakash Chautala regaining his base as a Jat leader since the last assembly election.

Ashok Tanwar who is Sirsa MP, interacting with Media and said, “It’s a big victory since the entire Chautala family had camped at Ratia for one week ahead of the by poll to ensure victory. In Adampur, the INLD candidate managed to avoid losing his security deposit. The Chautalas have to rethink their strategies in the state.”

The historical Victory in Ratia and again getting position and up hold in Adampur could make Hooda as a stronger leader.

However for BJP, which contested the Ratia seat in alliance with the HJC, had a big disappointment as its nominee Mahavir Prashad got only 18142 votes and lost his deposit. Also in Nalagarh voting, the congress candidate Lakhwinder Rana has beaten the Gurnam Kaur standing from the side of BJP.
