IPL cricket league is all set to start from April 4. Fans are ready to see their favorite cricketer to spark on the field.

Confirmed reports have said that Australian captain Michael Clarke will represent Pune Warriors India in IPL 5.

The Australia captain, who did not took part in the Twenty20 extravaganza all these years, was adjusted as captain of Pune Warriors India as a replacement of Cancer-hit Yuvraj Singh.

Michael Clarke is a classy right-hander batsman and there is no doubt that he is the biggest overseas player to have been signed by any franchise this season.

Earlier, it was said in some reports on February 18, the Michael Clarke was on the franchise’s first choice for the post.

It is said, “Having got the go-ahead from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to recruit players from outside the auction register, Pune Warriors have launched a search for big names and the Australia skipper is on their shortlist.”

Michael Clarke’s join with the team will clearly shows that Pune Warriors have got a perfect back-up for Captain’s post.

For now, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been named as the captain for the upcoming season.

However, Michael Clarke, will only be able to take part in the IPL 5 after Australia’s tour of the West Indies ends on April 27. Till then, Pune will play without Clarke.

IPL 5 will be kicked-off from April 4 to May 27.

While talking to media, Sahara Adventure Sports managing director Sushanto Roy said, “Michael Clarke’s presence in the side, and cricketing proficiency, will boost the prospects of Pune Warriors India.”
