Seeking to operate smoothly in comprehensive market which is customer preferential, the India’s largest car manufacture Maruti Suzuki India is trying to capture MPV segment with its upcoming technically specific model, the Ertiga.
Ertiga, a seven seater car is especially passenger vehicles to offer in multi purpose segments whether it relates to look, interior design, performance and operations to speed up.
around 400 crore investment has made on global launch of Ertiga to make available in both variants petrol and diesel, however petrol delivers a fuel of 16.02 kmpl while the diesel one gives 20.77 kmpl.
Announcing company’s statement, MSI Managing Executive Officer Mayank Pareek said, “What we are trying here is to create a new segment of compact MPVs, just as we did with Swift in the hatchback segment. We have not been present in the MPV segment despite being the overall market leader in the country.”
Indian consumers whose numbers are seen as 8 millions, preferred MPVs, family life utility vehicles (LUV)in place of bigger and bulky cars and seeking that point, MSI plans to target that segment which is rapidly growing. Asking about sale expectations, Pareek ensured to be hike in next fiscal period, but still the first half, the company would have to face tough situation as market hasn’t changed.
“Towards the second half, sales are expected to pick up, especially around the festive season. Overall the industry should grow between 5 percent and 10 percent and as a company, we expect to do better than that,” he further said.
Completely a family passenger vehicle, Ertiga is likely to available at the price range of Rs7-9 lakh with delivering a 45 litres capable Fuel tank along with offering two different engine, one 1373 cc inline four is for petrol and other 1248 cc inline four is for diesel.
There will no automatic transmission, only preferred manual.
All in all, the family man car will surly a star for company, covering all requirement of customer by offering three variants — LXI, VXI and ZXI in petrol, and LDI, VDI and ZDI in diesel.
