According to latest news, the 22-years-old, Maria Susana Flores, Mexican beauty queen has been killed in a shootout between soldiers and a suspected gang in the northwestern state of Sinaloa.

Reports said that the dead body of the beauty queen Maria Susana Flores, who was Miss Sinaloa 2012, was recovered by the soldiers from her car used by suspected armed group that exchanged fire. The statement was given to media by an official from the state prosecutor’s office.

Further, total five civilians were killed in the shootout and one soldier in the town of Mocorito.

Talking to media, police official said, “She was one of the people who died in the clash.”

Meanwhile, the Mexican media reports that Maria Susana Flores, who took part in the Miss Oriental Tourism pageant in China in May, was on her way with her boyfriend, a suspected hitman, when the shootout took place. Her boyfriend also died.

The group of armed people belongs to Orso Ivan Gastelum, reported a powerful Sinaloa drug cartel.

Huge number of her fans and family people took part in a funeral in the state capital of Culiacan on Sunday.

On her Facebook page, the Miss Sinaloa pageant organisers, Nuestra Belleza Sinaloa, posts as “deepest condolences” for the death of Maria Susana Flores, who was a “charming and happy young woman with a great future”.
