In Protesting against the encounter killing of Kishenji, the party’s Polit Bureau member, the Maoist a Communist Party of India, declared a two -day bandh partial in some parts and total in other parts of the Andhra Orissa Border (AOB) on Sunday.
However on Sunday, there were a partial response and passed off peacefully in the Maoist-affected Jangalmahal region of West Bengal. While during the bandh, the first day of Maoist was passed without incident.
From West Bangal, Inspector General of Police (Western Range) Gangeshwar Singh relived and said, “Posters asking the people to support the bandh were found in some parts of Jhargram and Bankura, but there were no incidents during the day.”
Because of chances of mishappening, the educational institutions, offices and some market areas were closed on Sunday.
On the other side in Vishakhapatnam, there was a big bandh movement to be shown. The Maoist pressured the govt. to think about them, this could be shown when govt. authorities cancelled the services of road transport and all the markets in Agency areas were ordered to be closed, in the worrying of Maoist attacks.
They already blasted an under construction school building at Salem of Mattili block in Malkangiri district.
The source of report said, the Visakha district police are conducting intensified combing operations and each officer is guiding five combing parties. The police have allotted the check post and there is proper checking of vehicles in roads.
