The major IT company Wipro would established Rs 700 -800 crore into its second campus at KOLKATA which would provide around 15000 employment, this has been declared by Azim Premji, the chairman of Wipro Technologies .
Such statement has been cleared when Premji was attending a meeting with West Bangal Chief Minister at the state secretariat.
Premji met Banerjee at the state secretariat, Writers’ Buildings, and discussed the IT service provider’s expansion plans in the state.
However both were not defined anything to Media, but in contacting with Media, Finance Minister Amit Mitra said, “Premji came with his full team.
He has indicated that his company is looking at employing 15,000 additional young men and women by expanding its operation in the state.”
According to report, Wipro’s second campus has been settling up at New Town, Rajarhat, on the northeastern fringes of the city on 50 acres of land that had purchased by it.
Beside this Wipro is always known for its IT services and generate more jobs time by time. Many thousands of people of India are working in its centers, and around 7,500 people has been employing in its existing centre in the IT hub in Sector V of the satellite township of Salt Lake.
And now another Wipro want to have a public-private partnership with the state government for expand the scope of creaming out providing e-services towards ensuring e-governance.
Putting light of this issue, Mitra said, “They work in the PPP (public-private partnership) mode with seven state governments as also the central government in ensuring seamless operation as part of e-governance. He said Wipro will be happy to help. This is encouraging,”
Now the people of state are awaiting the establishment of Wipro’s IT Project although Tata Consultancy Services and IBM companies are already set their position in such area.
