Social activist and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare has been discharged from hospital and is returning to his native village Ralegan Siddhi to take rest on Sunday.
But still the doctors have advised him at least a month’s rest before he would apply his mind for further any anti-corruption movement on the Lokpal Bill.
Refusing to being answered over anti-corruption movement, Anna Hazare told reporters, “I am all right now, but still feeling weak. I have to take a break as the doctors have advised rest for some days. I will think about it (agitation) after I am fully recovered.”
Core committee members are being charged under issue of corruption, while asking regarding this Mr. Hazare said, “I was not in touch with the outside world for ten days.”
Cancellation over his proposed tour of the five poll-bound states, he defined that he would not be able to undertake travel for the time being as per the doctors’ advice. But the social activist stressed that his fight for a strong Lokpal Bill will continue.
Anna revealed a statement over his strengthening power, “It is a long drawn out battle (against corruption), which I am fighting for the last 25 years. I have to take some rest as per the doctors’ advice. After I am fully recovered, I will go out,” he added.
Mr. Hazare was admitted to Sancheti hospital in Pune on December 31, after he suffered chest infection. Then he suffered high fever while he was sitting on three-day fast in Mumbai on 27 December, members forced him to abandon his protest.
Dr K H Sancheti who examined Mr. Hazare, informed, “Anna has recovered well, but needs one month’s rest to avoid relapse.”
A source reported, the Gandhian has directly gone to Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district after his discharge from hospital.
Meanwhile there has no chance of any campaign attempt by Anna due to his health problem. Beside Kiran Bedi, Mr. Hazare’s aide who visited him in the hospital had already made it clear that Anna would not be undertaking any fast in view of the medical advice.
