Pakistan thinks India as an existential danger: US Officials

As per the latest world news, Pakistan has surly conducted major operations in Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Swat, but they have not taken action against terrorist network like the Haqqani or Mullah Nazir’s group.

The US wants to build its positive relation with Pakistan, but sometime as per Pakistan’s wrong consideration for India as an existential threat, US unlikely discarded its decision to build relation with Pakistan.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, “The US relationship with Pakistan is a “challenging relationship but an important one,” as the interests of the two countries are “not always congruent”.

But Al Qaeda, who wants to attacks for refocusing the global jihad against US targets, has full support in Pakistan. Al Qaeda operatives are balancing support in Pakistan which is a threat to Islamabad as being attacks.

Clapper said, “Al Qaeda will increasingly rely on ideological and operational alliances with Pakistani militant factions to accomplish its goals with Pakistan and to conduct transnational attacks.”

Last year Taliban lose its ground and it is expected that they are talking to Pakistan for enjoy safe haven in it. Afghanistan must have support from neighbours-particularly Pakistan for facing the threats and be succeed.

And India by rising up its engagement with Afghanistan is helping the Afghan Government sustain its sovereignty and independence as consistent with US objectives and favours a sustained ISAF and US presence in the country and will also cooperate in future multilateral frameworks between US and Afghanistan that help to develop capacity, civil society and strengthen political structures in Afghanistan.
