As per the report stated by Rajasthan govt. minister, the govt. recruited 750 new doctors for the arrangement of medical services provided to the patients in the State.
While the doctors’ strike entered its sixth day on Monday and 18 doctors from among the protesters were arrested for striking work despite the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act being in force but there was no work had been done for suffering patients.
As per the report, Dr Karan Singh on behalf of the All Rajasthan In-Service Doctors Association (ARISDA) set stage for talks with state government to resolve the issue, but this issue has gone in other side.
In fact , the govt. wants to end this issue but would also confused that who would represent the protesting doctors, who is their leader and what issues the talks would include.
“We do not have a clue about who is their leader or to whom we should talk. We did not receive any offer or proposal for a dialogue from the agitating doctors. Let them send a proposal, we are ready for talks,” quoted as saying Rajkumar Sharma, the Minister of state for health .
Arguing the govt. statement, agitating doctors claimed, “We want to resume work. Our demand is that the state government should withdraw the decisions of suspensions and terminations of doctors and invite us for talk. Also, we want that the government should implement the decisions taken on July 11 meeting with the doctors.”
However by dismissing 18 the agitating doctors including two chief medical health officers and 10 principal medical officers from services, senior resident doctors association president Rajvendra Singh, the govt. has taken up strict actions as 425 doctors had been arrested for violating provisions of RESMA.
Meanwhile new doctors has been posted and directed them to join on new postings immediately from Wednesday and if they fail to do so, strict action would be taken against them, too because of increasing death rate due to doctors’ strike reached 58, as 8 more persons died on Monday.
