In a fresh achievement under the November 26, 2008 Mumbai terror attack case, The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been filed a charge sheet against American terrorist David Coleman Headley in Delhi.
Along him there are 8 more alleged terrorist the founder of Lashker-e-Taiba terror group Hafiz Saeed and two serving Pakistani Army ISI officers who were included in this case. In the November 26, 2008 Mumbai terror attack at least 166 people were killed and many of them were of foreign nationals.
However along 51-year-old Headley, his Pakistani-Canadian accomplice Tahawwur Rana is also covered under the chargsheet.
A metropolitan magistrate’s court in Mumbai has already issued letters oratory to a US court, requesting it to enable Mumbai police to question Headley and his accomplice Tahawwur Hussain Rana in the 26/11 terror attacks case.
The Patiala House court is likely to pronounce its order on whether to accept the chargesheet (cognizance) on January 7, 2012.
Besides this on Wednesday, the NIA accepted sanction by the Government to file chargesheet against the nine persons which was filed after two years of probe by the central agencies and later by the NIA.
Meanwhile, for 293 days Headley had been stayed in Mumbai and also involved in carrying out surveillance of places of iconic installations for26/11 terror attacks, all such details has been given under the NIA.
