UP Assembly Elections 2012: Campaign ends for first phase today

Today, the political parties whether Congress or BJP, all are putting full force of power to getting support of voters through their rallies in UP.

Today is the last day for them to campaign for first phase assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh where voting will begin on February 8, contesting 55 assembly seats across 10 districts.

Top leaders of parties are ready for campaigning, getting support of voters before the first phase of voting. Amongst them, 40 years old Rahul Gandhi is on the top of list. He is planned to address rallies for election on Varanasi and Ghazipur, while Priyanka Gandhi tour only Raebareli and Amethi.

BSP chief and Chief Minister Mayawati has selected Kushinagar and Gorakhpur to address rallies, while BJP senior leader LK Advani is scheduled to address a rally in Lucknow today. Read More
