sudhanegAccording to latest political news, the Delhi High Court had dismissed bail plea of former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda, the main accused in the Geetika Sharma suicide case, on Monday.
News agencies had said that Justice Pratibha Rani after hearing arguments from Delhi police and Gopal Kanda, and later dismissed the bail plea with saying that detailed order will be passed later.
Meanwhile, Gopal Kanda was booked for abetment of air hostess Geetika Sharma’s suicide and criminal intimidation.
According to latest news, the prime accused in the Geetika Suicide Case former-Haryana Home minister Gopal Kanda and his close aide Aruna Chadha were on Saturday charged with abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation and destruction of evidence.
Reports have said that the court took cognizance of the chargesheet and a case was filed under Sections 306, 506, 201, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code and 34/66 of the IT Act.
The main accused of abetting suicide by former MDLR Airlines’ air hostess Geetika Sharma, Gopal Kanda was go ahead by Delhi Police in four year old, 2008 income tax officials’ assault case.
A clean chit gave to the former Haryana minister along with his an additional chief judicial magistrate in Rajasthan’s Barmer district after investigating report of his MDLR Airlines office submitted by police to the court, an official source said.
In a fresh crackdown in the Geetika Suicide Case, Delhi police has said in a press report that it has cracked the former air hostess Geetika Sherma suicide case.
Delhi police added that Geetika Sherma wanted to end all relations with Gopal Kanda, who is a former Haryana minister, and the main accused of Geetika case.
The former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda and the main accused in the Geetika suicide case, had surrendered at Ashok Vihar police station in Dlehi at wee hours of Saturday.
The former minister was at the run from past 10 days, and Delhi Police has been searching him.
Earlier, on Friday, the Delhi High Court had rejected Gopal Kanda’s anticipatory bail application.
