Vidya Balan who now considered as one of the Bollywood hottest actress has recently escaped from life-threatening experience.
Vidya Balan, who has got success by performing the most ambitious role as Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, was vacationing in New Zealand last week with her beau Siddharth Roy Kapur.
A friend of the couple revealed that both were in Christchurch a few hours before an earthquake hit the country’s largest city on December 23, 2011.
Explaining all detail over happening of incident, a source that is very close of both said, “After Vidya fulfilled all her obligations for The Dirty Picture, the actress wanted to unwind and so, Siddharth and her decided to go to New Zealand.”
Further, “When they landed at Christchurch, they did not want to stay there and instead took off to Queenstown. After they arrived at Queenstown, they got to know about the earthquake in Christchurch. The first quake measured 5.8 on the Richter scale and the second tremor came 80 minutes later and measured 5.3. Needless to say, not only Vidya and Siddharth, but also their families back home were relieved to know that they were safe and had left Christchurch in time.”
Before returned to Mumbai on December 30, 2011 on New Year celebration, the couple had also planned to go for some other places at the time when they made stay in Queenstown.
“Despite the earthquake scare, they had a good holiday and spent some much needed quality time together. While Siddharth resumes work today, Vidya still has some time off,” the couple’s friend added.
However it is in second time that Bollywood couple escaped from the any life threatening incident. First time it was happened with Salman and Katrina, when they were shooting for “Ek Tha Tiger” in Turkey. Incidentally they both left the place before the natural catastrophe came.
