Facebook-Google Case: Delhi court fines requester

As per fresh reports, the Delhi court, hearing a civil case against number of social networking sites including Facebook and Google, for allegedly showing objectionable content, has issued a fine of Rs 200 on a requester for seeking an urgent review of its order which gets-back the names of Google India and others from the suit.

During the hearing, administrative Civil Judge Parveen Singh has announced the fine on requester Mufti Aijaz Arshad Qasmi for making the plea without any proper and sufficient evidences.

Israel Embassy Car Blast: warrant issued against 3 Iranians

As per fresh report, quick arrest warrants has been issued for three Iranians having involvement in the last month explosion on an Israeli diplomat’s wife.

Police source reported, the Delhi Court has issued arrest warrants on Wednesday for three men as Housan Afshar, Syed Ali Mehdi Sadr and Mohammed Reza Abolghasemi, accused of being involved in the blast and then leaving the country immediately afterward.

An Interpol for help in identifying all the related information about the all accused, whose whereabouts are not known, will be forward by the government.

CWG graft: Delhi Court dismisses Swiss Company’s plea

Further preceding a corruption case linked to the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the Delhi high court dismissed the plea of Swiss Timing of putting restrictive possible coercive action against it.

However Swiss Timing firm had been charged in a connection with corruption allegation, allegedly getting a contract in Commonwealth Games illegally and causing a loss of over Rs 90 crore to the exchequer.

And while approaching Delhi high court in against directed order of lower court seeking a stay on possible coercive measures against firm, Swiss did not appear in a trial court.

“The petition is dismissed,” quotes by saying the apex court after Swiss not appearing for trial.

Aarushi murder case: SC rejects Talwar’s plea to transfer case

Once again Dr Rajesh Talwar and his wife Nupur has failed in their attempt of petition as rejection made by Supreme Court, to transfer the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case from Ghaziabad to Delhi, on Friday.

The apex court said that personal inconvenience instead of having adequate security to the Talwars cannot be made a ground for transferring the case.

After being attacked Aarushi’s father Rajesh from outside the Ghaziabad court in January 2011, the Talwars couple had appealed to transfer the case from a Ghaziabad court to a Delhi court.

Google, FaceBook appeals in India as Govt. orders to remove content

Over the offensive content on social networking sites like Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, the govt. has sanctioned prosecution of all these after a day when warning made by Delhi high court to the social networking sites to devise a mechanism to check and remove objectionable material from their sites or face blocking like in China.

Today a trial court adjourned till March 13, the hearing in the case of 21 social networking sites allegedly hosting objectionable content.

However the external affairs ministry has directed the summons issued to foreign-based social networking sites. Among 21, 12 websites are of foreign-based companies.
