Minority quota may lead to civil war in India

The decision to allow a 4.5 per cent reservation for religious minorities within the 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) that comes ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is put govt. into a difficult situation.

Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis) are notified as minority communities under Section 2 (c) of the Act.

But Team Anna and other BJP party calls it to be a political game, through such tactics congress would try to put a “civil war” among different communities.

On Friday, BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “The quota within quota is Congress party’s dangerous political game, which can lead to a civil war among the different communities and castes.”

However, the quota within quota is seemed to be Congress party’s strategy to exploit the Muslim votes for political gains which it has been doing by it for the last 60 years.

By gaining this opportunity, BJP party is trying to express that they are in favour of socio- economic development of the Muslim community. And they will not allow to succeed the Congress in its conspiracy to hijack the Muslim votes.

“This quota within quota ‘lollipop’ is also part of the Congress’ political exploitation campaign. This is the biggest fraud of the Congress and its government against the Muslims as well as the Constitution. On one hand, it is constitutionally wrong and on the other Muslims are not going to benefit by this,” said by Naqvi in a statement.

Now the actual work which has been done by Congress party to escape itself from such accuses is still awaiting. But at the time of elections, all such matter would put bad impression of Congress in eyes of Muslims, which may be resulted of less voting for Congress.
