After Dhirubhai’s death in 2002, the family battle regarding the division of entire Reliance empire had been brought resulted in an intense family battle over control of Reliance empire, Now once again two brother Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani will come together to celebrate the late Dhirubhai Ambani’s 80th birth anniversary, a fresh report revealed by a source close with Ambani family.
In their 15 years journey, it will be first time that the entire Ambani clan, including brothers Mukesh and Anil and their mother Kokilaben, will be presented on late Dhirubhai Ambani’s birth anniversary in his ancestral village of Chorwad.
Talking about two brothers arrival, a senior Reliance Industries official stated in his statement, “Anil Ambani, who is an early riser, is expected to arrive on Tuesday morning while Mukeshbhai will be there after noon.”
After solving a dispute regarding the supply of gas from Reliance Industries to Anil Ambani’s Reliance Natural Resources that continued for four years, last year the Supreme Court take decision that the government would have the final say in pricing the gas.
And accepting the court order, the brothers are ready to enter into a new gas purchase agreement. Mukesh’s RIL is expected to soon take on lease the telecom towers of Anil Ambani group to roll out its broadband service in 2012.
The scheduling of the ceremony dedicate a memorial to the founder of India’s largest private company will be started by a special puja at the temple of goddess Chorwadi today, and programme will spread over two days. All the family members including Ambani’s wives Nita and Tina and sisters Dipti Salgaonkar and Neena Kothari and other family members will be spend Tuesday night in their ancestral home.
Parimal Nathwani, RIL Group president said, “The memorial is built at the same place where Dhirubhai stayed during his childhood. Some of the rooms have been kept for private residences of the Ambanis. We have tried to retain the original settings. The stove, used by Kokilaben, is still intact in the kitchen. So is the well from which she used to draw water. Dhirubhai’s gaddi (mattress) along with a pillow is also there.”
