As the assembly election’s date come closer, the Punjab’s political parties are starting to fight it out.
According to the report, a verbal fight between workers of the ruling Shromani Akali Dal and the Congress at village Dyalpura Bhai turned to violent when four vehicles were smashed and many rounds were fired in the air.
All such drama was creating tension in the village and surrounding areas.
The actual fact was that the Congress party MLA Gurpreet Singh Kangar blocked the vehicle of Shromani Akali Dal candidate’s son accusing him of misuse of money in late evening. After some time Mr. Kangar called the police and claiming cash lying in the vehicle.
Although the police allegedly took no action regarding investigate of the vehicle, Mr Kangar said that the Akali Candidate himself opened fire and his workers ‘fired like it was Diwali.’ He added that a hefty amount of cash was in the car and the police failed to take any action despite repeated requests.
While the matter was out of control, Bathinda District Magistrate Kamal Kishore Yadav also reached the spot along with SSP Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill along with large number of police personnel that were summoned to the village from all police stations of Bathinda.
“The situation is tense but peaceful and added that an investigation on the matter is taking place”, reported Mr. Yadav later.
As per Mr. Yadav, No money was found from the any vehicle but paramilitary forces have been placed in village.
