Dev Anand’s ashes to be brought back to India

As per the fresh news, Indian theatrical Dev Anand who passed away in London just three days ago due to a heart attack will be cremated in London. The news was confirmed by the family members of the evergreen Bollywood actor.

According to the statement issued by the family members to the media, the family of Dev Anand has confirmed that the superstar’s ashes will be flown back to Mumbai.

While talking to media, a family member said, “We are now in a position to confirm that a cremation ceremony will be taking place in London, followed by a memorial gathering and tribute in the UK Capital. In due course, Mr. Anand’s ashes will be taken back to India, where a major ceremony of remembrance will be held in Mumbai, the Capital of the Indian Film Industry.”

In addition to this, the family member also added a word of gratitude for the fans and admires of Dev Anand the world over.

Further, he said, “The family of Mr. Dev Anand are moved and touched by the outpouring of public sympathy and love emanating from India, South Asia and the rest of the world following the sad news of his passing away.”

“Accordingly, they would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone for their kind words and moral support. These have been of tremendous comfort and support to them throughout this very difficult period,” the statement said.
