Italian car-manufacturer Fiat and Japanese car-developer Suzuki Motor Corporation has recently announced that the two companies have inked an agreement to supply Fiat diesel engines to India’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki.
In a joint statement released by the two companies, “Fiat India Automobiles Ltd (FIAL) will supply up to one lakh 1.3 litre MultiJet 75hp SDE engines per year to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) starting from January 2012 for a period of three years.”
The joint note issued saying that the engine will be installed on Suzuki labeled cars manufactured in India by MSIL for the local market. Read More
